Execution Promised.
Wicked Conisboro’ Youths
John Smith and Arthur Lang, pony drivers, of Conisboro’, were charged with doing damage to a fence at Conisboro’ on April 13th.
Mr. W. Baddiley appeared on behalf of Mr. W. W. Norwood, the prosecutor.
He said that a farm servant saw the two defendants break a fence. They were going to the two homes together. They refused to go away. The witnesses in this case had been threatened.
John Johnson, farm servant, gave evidence, and said the defendants promised to cut off his head.
A youth, named Redfern, corroborated. He said the defendants used bad language to him.
Penalties of 5s. and costs, and 2s. 6d. damages, were imposed.
