Mrs. Ridgeway, 17, Lewes Road, Conisbrough, has been officially informed that her husband, Sapper F. Ridgeway, previously reported a prisoner of war in German hands, has died from blood poisoning.

Sapper Ridgeway went to France during the first few weeks of the war, being taken prisoner on June 7th, 1940.

Mrs. Ridgeway received a letter during the week-end which had been posted in Germany on May 10th, saying he had two days’ holiday for Easter. He died on May 22nd.
