End of Communal Hot Water
Pioneer Conanby Scheme Closed
A pioneer communal hot-water system, one of the first ever operated in Britain, whereby 400 houses in the colliery village of Conanby (Conisbrough) have received their supply from a central boiler house for nearly 30 years, has come to an end.
For the past six months the N.C.B. have been installing an ordinary boiler in each house, and now this scheme is complete every householder can be responsible for his own supply.
