Assault
Four Denaby miners, Walter Goddard, John Riley, Joseph Jenkinson, and Richard Pugh, appeared on summonses for assault at Doncaster on Saturday.
Mr. D. Dunn, prosecuting, said the summonses arose out of a disturbance at a Denaby dance hall. He had certain instructions from a church, but he thought if the defendants would pay the costs and agree to be bound over that would be an end to the matter. They were rather serious assaults.
Defendants pleaded not guilty, but agreed to be bound over for 12 months and each pay 4s. costs.
