Using Threats At Conisboro’.

Ann Cocksedge, Conisboro’, summoned Jos. Shaw, miner, Denaby, for using threats towards her on the 6th inst.

The evidence given by the complainant was most confusing, and she stated that the defendant had threatened to pull her head off, and was constantly using threats towards her.

Mr. W. Baddiley defended, and he stated that the defendant had lived with complainant for the past ten years as man and wife. However, a short time back defendant left her, and this seemed to arouse her ire.

Complainant denied defendant had been living with her as man and wife. He was only a lodger, and she turned him away from her house.

The Bench bound Shaw over for six months and ordered him to pay costs, £1 0s. 6d.
