A Wife’s Maintenance

Order Made Against Conisboro’ Miner

John Wm. Taylor, miner, of Conisboro’, was summoned in respect to the maintenance of his lunatic wife.

Mr. W. H. Ayres, relieving officer of the Doncaster Union, said that on Nov. 21, 1908, Sarah Ellen Taylor, the wife of the defendant, was admitted as a patient to the West Riding County Asylum at Wadsley.

The Court made an order against defendant on the 1st Feb., 1910, under which he should contribute 2/6 weekly towards his wife’s maintenance. The arrears amounted to £1 5s., and he asked for an order for the amount to be paid forthwith.

The Bench made the usual order.
