Denaby Sixth in Table after Wakefield Win

Denaby’s victory over Wakefield, raised them to the sixth position in the table, with a relatively better record than the two clubs immediately above them, Wednesday reserve and Rotherham County reserve. They have taken three points from Wakefield City.

Up to Saturday they had completed features with Rotherham , Town (4 points), Wakefield (3), Wath Athletic (2), Castleford (2) and Harrogate (1)

they have excellent reason to be well satisfied with their work in the first half of the season, completing the season with 22 points for 19 matches.

Of the eight victories five been obtained at home, over Rotherham Town, Scunthorpe, Wakefield, Wath and whole, and three away over Rotherham County, Castleford and Rotherham Town.

Two matches have being lost at home, to Castleford and Mexborough, and three away to Mansfield, Harrogate and Wath.

Two games were drawn at home, with Harrogate and Boston, and for away but Barnsley, Gainsborough, Lincoln and Wakefield.

It is an excellent record, the best, so far, among the Midland League clubs in South Yorkshire, Barnsley reserve alone excepted.
