£25 castle

The Ministry of Works have provisionally agreed to accept responsibility for maintaining the fabric of the historic Conisborough Castle, bought two years ago by Conisborough Urban Council from Lord Yarborough for the nominal sum of £25.

The Council will remain the legal owners of the Castle.
