W Hoyland 37*, Mr Drabble 21* Saxton 17; Smith 5wkts, F Hoyland 4wkts
This match was played at Denaby on Saturday, and resulted in an easy victory for the home team. The visitors won the toss, and elected to bat first on the new ground, the wicket being in excellent condition. Saxton and W Taylor played splendidly for Thrybergh, and looked like making a stand, but the ball of Smith and F Hoyland was too good for them will stop Thrybergh was disposed of for score 52.
Denaby were represented by Mountford and W Hoyland and when nicely set the form was run out. Mr Drabble followed, by some excellent batting he and Hoyland quickly passed their opponents.
