Denaby Colliery Set Down Again

On Tuesday the shaft of the engine working the ventilation fan broke down, and as Denaby is what is known as very fiery, the pit was immediately set down, and steps taken to effect a repair.

The colliery is the largest in South Yorkshire and employs over 1000 hands.
