Last years champions Scarborough, received a shock at Denaby where Denaby and Cadeby gained an eight runs victory in an exciting match.

Scarborough appeared have the match in their pocket when they dismissed Denaby tor 104, but G. Porter, four for 34, and E. Wainwright, four for 10. Had brilliant spells and Scarborough had seven wickets down for 46.

For Scarborough J. Johnson took four for 27.
