Driver Fretwell, 33 Barnburgh St, Denaby, has died of wounds received in action on July 9. He enlisted at the outbreak, and was wounded twice early in the war.

His brother Corporal P Fretwell (York and Lancaster) has been wounded four times and is now discharged. He, too, was wounded in 1914.

The father Private A Fretwell (York and Lancaster) is serving on garrison duty, in France and is at present home on leave.
