50 Years at Denaby Pit

“An ‘interesting life’ is life itself. I hope to work as long as my health permits. One is always happy work, and to be happy often, means only to be healthy. I shall keep in harness. For a man to retire who has no hobby but his work is to go into seclusion.”

This expresses the feeling of Mr. John Watkin, chief cashier of the Denaby and Colliery Company, who has just completed years with the company.
