Denaby Woman Assaulted

A Denaby collier, named John Quinn was charged Doncaster to-day with assaulting May Coyne, widow, Doncaster Road.

Complainant stated that she was defendant’s landlady.

Defendant, alleging that some imputation had been made about his relations with his landlady, went to the house, struck her in the face, and pulled her blouse off.

Several witnesses for the defence denied the assault, but the magistrates believed an assault had been committed, and he was bound over in the sum of 40s. to keep the peace for six months.
