At Conisborough.
Play commenced with a rush to Swinton’s goal, and F. Clarkson scored with a lovely inverted stick shot m the first two minutes. For the resf of the first half Conisborough had most of the play, and piled up seven goals while Swinton replied with one.
In the second half Swinton played much better, and the game finished in favour of Conisborough by nine goals to four.
Conisborough’s forward play was pretty to watch, and the well-timed passes were a feature of the game. Five goals were soured by J. I. D. Webster, three of which were the result of good individual runs, F. Lote go two, and B B. Clarkson and F. Clarkson one each for Conisborough.
I Robinson (three) and A. Midwood (one) scored for Swinton, one of Robinson’s being the result of a well concerted forward attack.
