Denaby Pit Mishap.

Work Suspended Owing Winding Engine Trouble.

Work at the Denaby Main Colliery was seriously interfered with yesterday as the result of the bursting of a cylinder of the main winding engine of the No. 1 shaft.

Fortunately no one was injured, but as alterations are being effected at the shift the night shift men were unable to descend and had return home.

It is hoped resume work to-day and spite of the restricted engine power it is thought that the usual number of men will be employed.
