Conisbrough Opens Scottish Pit Disaster Fund
Conisbrough Urban Council on Wednesday decided to launch a local appeal fund on behalf of the widows and families of the men who lost their lives in the Scottish pit disaster last week-end.
The chairman of the Council, Councillor P. E. Dyson, J.P., has opened the appeal fund with a personal donation of two guineas and the Clerk (Mr. R. F. Edwardson) asks that cheques tor the Scottish Miners’ Disaster Fund should be addressed to Conisbrough Urban Council offices, Low Road, Conisbrough.
