Modern School Governors

The effect of the recent change in summer-time on the attendance of children at school was discussed at last night’s meeting of Conisborough Modern School Governors.

The headmaster, Mr. W. Gledhill, reported that there had been a great increase in lateness among scholars.

Coun. H. Gomersall said he would be prepared to advocate opening school an hour later in the morning.  He felt that the parents should make an effort to get children to bed reasonably early, so that they would be sure of a period of sleep.
