Denaby Bowler in Form at Bentley

Denaby & Cadeby 194 for 8  Bentley Colliery 61

For Denaby: G.S. Robinson 31, E Tibbles 40, H Shoesmith 40

Bentley Colliery have been beaten twice in three days by Denaby and Cadeby. On the form shown in this, their first, season, Bentley are sadly in need of good batsmen and only misfortune has prevented them being in the team.

Batting first, on a bard wicket at Bentley. Denaby ran up a good score in three hours, and left the home team just under two hours to knock off the runs. It was a bold policy, declaring, but it worked splendidly, thanks to the splendid performance of Widdison, who took seven wickets for 19 runs, with Shoesmith three for 37.

Bentley tried five bowlers. Gittins two for 39, and Starbrook three for 59, having the best averages.

Behind the stumps, G, White showed good form for Bentley
