New R.C. Priest
The Rev. James Reginald Stack
who took up his appointment as priest of St. Alban’s Roman Catholic Church, Denaby, and the English Martyrs’ Church, Mexborough, last weekend, was previously for seven years parish priest for the Church of Christ the King, Bramley, Leeds and before that was for eight years assistant priest in another Leeds parish and an assistant priest at Wakefield for three years.
In 1922 Father Stack came to the Seminary at Leeds from Ireland where he was born and had latterly attended the National University.
While at Leeds he has been particularly interested in the youth movement, being chairman of Leeds Catholic Youth Committee for a few years. Father Stack is 40.
