Thomas Garner

Birthday memories of our dear nephew who would have been 19 on the 24th of May, killed in action, February, 105, B.L.A.

O God, shine down thy wonderful light,
Upon our Nephew’s grave tonight.

Thomas Garner

In loving memory of my dear nephew, Thomas, killed in action February 16th, 1945, aged 19, May 24th

From battlefield to heavenly rest,
God took our darling, one of the best,
We loved him in life, he is dear to us still,
But in grief we must bend to God’s holy will,
The sorrow was great the cross hard to bear,
But angels in heaven will tend him with care.

From Uncle Tom, Auntie Evelyn, Johnny and Teddy, and cousins
