A Batch of Miners Fined

At Doncaster, Saturday, Albert Aykroyd, pit hand, Mexborough, was fined £3 for damaging a safety lamp:

James Sheldon, colliery contractor, Mexborough  £4 for leaving a prop in the gob;

John Collins, miner, Denaby, £3 for damaging a lamp;

and George Taylor, pit hand, Conisborough £3 for going to  sleep in the mine whilst in charge of a powerful motor.

All the offences took place in the Denaby pit of the Denaby and Cadeby Colliery Company.
