A Boy’s Maintenance
A Denaby miner named Thomas Branston, who was before the Doncaster West Riding Court a week ago to show why he should not contribute to the maintenance of son in the reformatory, came up again this morning.
In the interval inquiries had been made to his circumstances and it was found that he was allowing his mother 5s. a week, and paying half the rent, and the magistrates, taking this into consideration, only ordered him to pay 5s. to the boy’s maintenance.
