A photograph showing the bonfire on Minimoor to celebrate the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary. The month I was part of rival festivities between residents and Burcroft then parish council.
It was built to a height of 40 feet and the glare from it could be seen for many miles. Included in the photograph is Mr “Nobby” Guest (seated in trap)
