A Denaby Miner and His Furniture

Yesterday, at the Doncaster County Court, Matthew Rodgers, miner, of Denaby Main, claimed £5 from Mrs. Flannery, of that place, being the value of furniture belonging to him. Plaintiff said he had lodged at the house along with a friend named James Casey.

Casey had married the landlady’s daughter, and now he (plaintiff) could not get possession of his bed, &c., which were there.

Verdict for the amount claimed unless the goods were given up, and in that case the order was to be reduced to 10s.
