A Denaby Miner Fined for Taking Matches into the Pit.

James Ware, of Denaby, was ordered to pay a penalty of 20s. including costs, for having committed a breach of special rule 99, by taking matches down the Denaby Main Colliery, on the 19th July.

Defendant pleaded guilty.

Peter Parry, who proved the case, said the defendant had expressed his regret at having the matches in his pocket. He was not aware they were there.
