A Denaby Scholarship
Mr. Edric Ellis, only son of Sgt. and Mrs. Ellis, of Lowfield House, Denaby Main, has been successful in obtaining a State Scholarship.
Before his father came to Denaby Main to take charge of the Police Office, Eric attended Percy Jackson Grammar School, Woodlands, b u t was later transferred to Mex-borough Grammar School where he continued his studies.
He did extremely well in his examinations and gained distinctions in Maths and Physics. Mr. Ellis expects to go to London to complete his studies (possibly at Queen Mary College) in October.
