A Peculiar Charge
William Bradbury, farmer, of Conisborough, was summoned for omitting to have his name and address written on his cart.
PC first stated that on 30th October he was on duty in the Doncaster Road, not far from Cadeby Main, when he saw the defendant’s cart being driven along the road.
He noticed that there was no name on it, and stopping the horse he examined the cart to try and find one. There had been an attempt to chalk one on, but it was smeared and illegible.
The magistrates put a fine of 10 shillings and costs.
