A Poker Attack

On Saturday, Doncaster, John Huberty, a miner, of Denaby, was fined 20 shillings for striking Mary Egan on the head with a poker.

She alleged he entered her house and struck her over the head with a poker, but this version was that she punched him in the back and through a plate at him.

She was going to striking with the poker when he seized and in the struggle he caught her on the head.
