A Wonderful Extra for Parade Guests.

The mother of a 26 years old Conisbrough man last week saw her son “passing out” from the Royal Air Force number one Air Navigation School, Stradishall, Suffolk as “the student who is assessed highest in leadership qualities.”

Flying Officer Ian Marshall, formerly of Conan Road, Conisbrough, and an old student of Mexborough Grammar School, joined the R.A.F. three years ago after qualifying as a surveyor with the National Coal Board. Since then he has been stationed in various parts of the country and a year ago entered the advanced training course at R.A.F. Stradishall.

Mrs Marshall spent the weekend with her son and his wife, and four-year-old son Bill at their home near the camp before the passing out ceremony.
