Abusive Language at Conisbrough

Jane or (Emma) Joiner, a married woman, of New f using Conisbrough was summoned for having used abusive language at that place on the 8th inst.

Police-constable Barnett stated that at 11.15 pm on the date named, while on duty in Denaby Road, he heard at disturbance in Edlington street.

On proceeding there he found the defendant using most abusive language with a crowd of women and children around her. She refused to into the house when requested to do, so, and for some time she also refused to give her name

Sergeant Brown, corroborating, said the defendant’s husband was asked for her name, and he also refused to give it.

A penalty of 13s 6d, including the costs, was imposed
