I am very sorry to have to report this week a very serious accident which has occurred to Albert Norbron, eldest son of Mr C Norbron, March Croft, Conisborough.

It appears the youngman is engaged in the fitting shop at the Cadeby Main Colliery, and on Friday morning last, while following his employment, he somehow or other accidentally got one of his fingers entangled in the machinery, with the result that the fore finger of his right hand was so severely damaged, that he has lost it all together.

His injuries were speedily attended to by Dr Craik, and I’m pleased to learn that under this gentleman’s skilful attention young Norbron is improving as well, as can possibly be expected
