Accident at Denaby Main
Shortly after midnight on Monday Thomas Williams, 25 years of age, single, a filler, residing at 28, Clay Lane, Mexborough, received injuries to his back and arm by a fall of stone in the Denaby Main colliery, where he was working.
He was conveyed in the ambulance to the Mexborough Cottage Hospital, and Dr Huey was called into when the medical aid. His injuries were found to consist of fractured right forearm (both bones), and Chris chest and back. It will take some considerable time before the patient is better, but he is progressing satisfactorily.
