Accident at Denaby Main Colliery.

Yesterday a serious accident happened to an under-official named Samuel Langton, while at work in the Denaby Main Colliery.

Langton was ascending what is known as the East plane, and on hearing a train of corves approaching, he stepped on one side for them to go past him. Just as the train got opposite him, several of them jumped off the road, and crushed the poor fellow between a prop and the side.

It was found that one of his thighs was badly hurt, and the lower part of the body severely crushed. He was conveyed to the Montagu Cottage Hospital.
