Accident to a Collier

On Monday morning Thos. Elliott, a filler employed at Denaby Main Colliery, met with a serious accident whilst at work.

A number of workmen were engaged in removing a sprag when a portion of the coal face fell, striking a sprag in its descent. The sprag struck Elliott a violent blow on the forehead, and knocked him senseless.

He was promptly conveyed home and his injuries attended to.
