Accident at Conisborough.

On Tuesday afternoon as Wombwell’s menagerie was passing near the Star hotel, Conisbrough, a youth named Parkes, residing at Lime Grove, Conisbrough, was holding a horse, drawing a water barrel, belonging to Mr Stacey, farm, of Conisbrough.

The horse took fright at the elephants, knocked the youth down, and the wheels of the vehicle passed over his body.

No bones were broken, but the lad was internally injured.
