Mexborough & Swinton Times, March 9, 1907
It was reported that a pony-driver named A. Bodkin of Mexborough, who was taken to the Fullerton Hospital suffering from a crushed inside, caused by being jammed between his pony and the tubs, is progressing as favourably as can be expected, he is employed at the Denaby Main Colliery.
I am sorry to say that the accident which happened to J. Woodhead, the pony driver who was injured at Cadeby Main Colliery on Tuesday March 6th 1907, has turned out to be more serious than was at first supposed. The poor lad is suffering from a broken back as the result of his injuries.
