Denaby Pit Hands Summoned

Three Denaby pit hands, Harry Webster, Samuel Brammer, and Thos. Haines, were summoned for trespassing for conies at High Melton on April 19th.

Mr. J. W. Baddiley prosecuted.

P.C. Bolton said he found three nets (produced) and also a ferret.

John Buxton, a keeper at High Melton, said the matter was reported to him, and he went with P.C. Bolton to the place. Bolton showed him the nets, and witness recovered the ferret, which he produced.

Webster appeared, and was fined 20s. inclusive, and the other defendants, who did not appear, were each ordered to pay 25s. inclusive.
