A record which can hardly be surpassed is held by the five sons of Mr. William Ashurst and the late Mrs, Ashurst, of Rotherham, formerly of Conanby. All are members of the Royal Air Force.

The youngest son is Sergt. Pilot William Ashurst, aged 20. He is at present missing after a recent raid over Germany. Prior to enlistment he was employed underground at Cadeby
