Funeral of Eric Franklin Cooper
The funeral took place at Conisbrough on Monday of Eric F. Cooper (22), of Old Hill Conisbrough, who was fatally injured on duty with the RAF. in Scotland on Wednesday of last week.
He was a regular attender at the Wesleyan Church, and a service was held there prior to the interment, conducted by the Rev. W. Thynne.
The coffin was draped with the Union Jack and carried by members of the R.AF. In addition to floral tributes from family and friends, there were those from Sgt. Cooper’s Commanding Officer, and N.C.O.’s and Airmen at the station where he was serving.
