Distinguished Flying Cross.
Flight Lieutenant J. H. Dunk
A list of Royal Air Force awards published this week contains the name of Flight-Lieutenant John Hubert Dunk, of Conisbrough, who has won the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Flight-Lieutenant Dunk, who is 31, volunteered for service in the Royal Mr Force three years ago. He is a navigator, and has been a member of one of the “Pathfinder” crews, who find and light up the target for the bombers.
He has taken part in some 40 raids.
