Mr. and Mrs. F. Brooks, of 17 New Hill Road, Conisbrough, have received news that their son, Sergeant Kenneth Moore (22), a wireless operator/air gunner is missing on active service.
Sergeant Moore had been engaged on flying duties for nine months, completing 20 sorties, and had been in the R.A.F. for 2 and a half years. Essen and Dortmund were among the places he had visited.
Previously employed at Cadeby Main Colliery, he was a keen cyclist and a member of Denaby Wheelers.
His brother, Driver Ellis Moore (25), has been with an anti-tank regiment in the Middle East since the outbreak of war.
