Both in Air Force Blue
Sergt. Eric Walker, of the R.A.F. and his sister, .A/c. W. Margaret Walker, of the W.A.A.F., are the son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0. A. Walker, of 54, Braithwell Street. Denaby Main, and are both doing their bit in the war effort, and both enjoying the life.
Sergt. Walker was employed in the stores at Cadeby Colliery prior to enlistment, and he and his sister are members of the Parish Church, Miss Walker being a member of the Sunday School staff.
A/c.W. Walker was employed at the Denaby shop of Messrs. David Haigh & Co.
It is two years since Sergt. Walker voluntarily enlisted in the R.A.F., and during that time he has qualified as an air gunner and as a wireless operator. He went overseas in January of this year, and is now in Africa.
A/c.W. Walker has been on balloon work, and after the leave which she is spending at home this week she is expecting to transfer to radio location.
