All Through a Dog

Mary Braidley was charged with assaulting Harriet Green at Denaby on the 6th inst.

She pleaded not guilty.

Complainant stated that about 12 o’clock on the day named defendant’s dog came into her house, and as it was very dirty she ordered it out. Subsequently she went out into the yard when defendant, who was her neighbour was.

An altercation ensued, and defendant struck her, making her right eye black.

The bench fined her 20 shillings including costs.
