Alleged Assault on a Landlady at Denaby
John Hill miner, of Conisborough, had been summoned for having assaulted Mary Wingfield, of Denaby, with whom he had lodged
Defendant failed to appear, and the magistrates issued a warrant for his arrest.
It appeared that there had been some disagreement regarding money matters and it was alleged that defendant called Wingfield a “– – – rogue” and threw a bucket at her.
