Alleged Felony at Conisbro,

Yesterday, at Doncaster, George Morgan, a tramp, of Manchester, was charged with having stolen a quantity or port wine at the Star Hotel, Conisbro’, on Sunday night.

It appeared that the man had been drinking a pint of beer in the taproom, and when the landlord went out for some purpose, it is said the stranger emptied a quantity of port wine into his jug.

The landlord happened to return in time to see what the man was after, and he was given into custody and remanded.

A Singular Theft.

At the West Riding Police-court on Wednesday, Alfred Morgan, of Rotherham, was charged with stealing a quantity of port wine, the property of John Williams, landlord of the Star Inn, Conisbro’.

He was fined 40s. including costs.
