Alleged Highway Robbery.

Charles W. Reed, miner, Denaby, was brought before the West Riding magistrates at Doncaster to-day in connection with the case of highway robbery with violence at Mexborough the 8th inst.. on which occasion Mr. Samuel Spencer, retired bookmaker, Whateley House. Cemetery Road. Mexborough, was attacked three men and robbed of £40 as he was proceeding home.

Two other men, George Holt and Harry Sowden, miners, were brought up on the previous day and remanded until next Friday.

After formal evidence of arrest Reed was also remanded.
