Alleged Theft of a Pony

A Mexborough man named John William Watkinson was charged on remand, at Doncaster, on Saturday, with having stolen a pony on the 3rd September.

The complainant was James Pears, Denaby.

It was said that Watkinson deliberately went to the field where the ponv was and took it to Doncaster, where he sold it.

The animal was eventually recovered at Worksop.

The prisoner was committed for trial at the Sessions.
