Allotment Fire
A fire broke out in the Fullerton Allotments on Monday afternoon and a hut was completely destroyed
It contained an incubator in which were 57 four-day-old chicks, the property of Mr. Lees, a pensioner, of 12, Tickhill Street, Denaby Main, and also his garden tools.
Damage is estimated at about £10. As soon as the outbreak was discovered people in the vicinity did what they could to quell the flames, but the fire had too good a hold and burnt out in a short time.
