“Allow For Christmas”
“You have to allow for Christmas,” said John O’Donnell, a miner of Denaby, when he appeared at Doncaster on Tuesday on a charge of being drunk and disorderly, and a second charge of using obscene language.
It was stated that he was constantly giving trouble to his next-door neighbour. O’Donnell is without a left arm, having lost it in the Battle of the Somme.
He said he was sorry for his behaviour, but was annoyed because his neighbour was a conscientious objector.
He was fined 10s.
